West Coast Holiday Screen Saver
Chris Markham took the pictures in this screen saver at the West Coast Holiday on the afternoons of August 7 & 8, 1998 in the Sheraton parking lot during registration. You can download this screen saver and have 356es on your PC screen all day long!
These are the same pictures which are published on the Events web pages for the WCH weekend. You can preview the pictures by visiting those pages. In the screensaver, these pictures will be rotated through your screen (with cool special effects) . Use your browser's "back" button to return here to download the screensaver.

Monterey Historic Races 356es and Spyders Screen Saver
Here is another screen saver, this time with pictures from the Monterey Historic Races held at Laguna Seca the weekend of 14 August, 1998. These are a few of the many hundreds of flat-four Porsches attending that 50th anniversary event. Featured in this screen saver are racing 356es and 550 Spyders.

Combined West Coast Holiday '98 and '98 Monterey Historic Races Screen Saver
This screen saver combines both the WCH and the MHR screen saver images into one. Over
seventy images total, as a slide show across your screen. You may not ever want to move your mouse again! Any image can be installed as desktop wallpaper, and most are a full 640x480 in size. The screen saver software will automatically resize the images to fit your screen if you're running at higher resolutions. I run a 20" monitor at 1024x768 and the images are clear and crisp.
This screen saver is just over 5.7Mb in size and will take an estimated 34 minutes to download on a 28.8k modem connection.

DerWhite's Classic 356 Sales Literature ScreenSaver
This screen saver has captures of 28 different vintage 356 sales literature and brochures. These images were graciously provided by Charlie White (see the
Vendor Ads or go directly to
Der White's
website). All these are from original vintage material, reproductions of which are for sale. Contact
Charlie for information about acquiring reprints suitable for framing. The special effect transitions built into the screensaver fit very well with the period 50's and 60's art motif. Previews of the images can be found at

Porsche Club of America's Parade #45, 356-only!
This screen saver is our biggest yet. One Hundred Thirty Nine pictures of 356es (and a 904 cousin!) taken by
Wayne of Pelican Parts (thanks, Wayne!). Though many of the 356 Faithful were at the West Coast Holiday in Durango Colorado that weekend, there were some nice cars in Sacramento, CA, and they're all here. Including Barrington's (der Gmündmeister) three 1949 Coupes!
This screensaver is BIG, over 7.9Mb in size and will take an estimated 45 minutes to download over a 28.8k modem connection--but it's worth it!

356 Registry Member's Gallery Screen Saver
This screen saver contains all the pictures from our own 356 Registry Member's Gallery (as of 8/30/01). One Hundred Thirty Eight 356 images! Using a different engine than our previous screen savers, this one is REALLY BIG, needing 12Mb of free disk space to download, 24MB to install. It is recommended for broadband ISP users--cable modem, DSL, work connections, etc. A regular modem connection will take a couple hours or more to download. Important Note: This (and only this) screensaver will NOT work with Windows 95, but has been tested with Windows 2000. If you have Windows 95, please try one of the other screen savers.

Setup and run
Once downloaded, run the setup program and it will install the screen saver into your Windows desktop.
After installation you can delete the download image to recover the disk space. Use your Control Panel Display Properties to change the many options available to you in this professional screen saver engine. You can pick any of the images to make into your desktop wallpaper, choose the display order, the timing, even switch to a nostalgic Black & White mode! In the WCH edition (only) there's also a button to this web site, so feel free to share this with your 356 friends!
You may freely distribute these screen savers, but the images remain property of their owners and may not be reused for commercial purposes without express permission of the owners.
