Enjoy a driving tour from the Headquarters Hotel to DuPont County Club. Upon arrival you'll have lunch across the road at Brantwyn Mansion. Following lunch there are two options: 1) a round of golf on the DuPont Championship Course (former home of the McDonald's LPGA tournament; rental clubs available on a limited basis; and transport of personal clubs can be arranged, if necessary) or 2) hop a chartered bus to Winterthur Museum for a tour of the museum which houses world class antiques, wander through the breathtakingly beautiful 60 acres of Winterthur Gardens, visit the fairy tale children's garden, as well as hands on learning in the Touch It Room. Upon return to DuPont Country Club, you enjoy afternoon tea at Brantwyn before the return drive to the hotel. Thursday evening will feature a Wine and Cheese reception in the Hospitality Suite.

Friday, 5 September, 4:00 PM

A real train operation — no hired actors, no scripts, just authentic railroaders with great stories to tell. Your 45-minute steam train ride will take you through beautiful, peaceful, and productive Pennsylvania Dutch countryside. You'll see Amish farmers working in their fields, Amish children playing nearby, livestock grazing, and farm produce waiting to be harvested. For additional information, see www.strasburgrailroad.com.

Friday, 5 September, 6:00 PM

Following the Strasburg train ride, there will be a Welcome Dinner in the great hall of the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania directly across the road from the Strasburg Railroad. You'll discover the colorful and dynamic heritage and technology of railroading, from classic woodburners and massive steam, to sleek, electric-powered and diesel engines — more than 100 historic locomotives and vintage railroad cars preserved in a world-class collection. You will also see railroad art, fascinating exhibits and a remarkable array of railroad artifacts that tells the stories of the men and women who worked on this transportation network. For additional information, see www.rrmuseumpa.org. Noted musician, Mark Hodgson, will provide entertainment at the Welcome Dinner (as well as periodically through the weekend) www.fugitivepoetmusic.org

Saturday, 6 September, Depart Eden at 8:00 AM

A scenic tour is planned for Saturday to Grimes Airfield, location of the 2008 ECH Concours. The airfield is home of the Golden Age Air Museum, where you can explore the past, learn how early aviators flew, see what they flew, see actual flying demonstrations, and learn about the lost art of early aircraft construction — a perfect place to display our Porsche 356s. For additional information, see www.goldenageair.org. See Concours Guidelines (PDF file) for detailed information on the Concours.
