History:
This car was sold in California 1995. The odometer reads
approximately
56,000 miles but no paperwork is presented to verify this as original. Within the last years, the car was completed restored (150
restoration pictures and restoration-bills.) to a high
Concour-standard. There are no signs of collision or rust
damage. The original old and rare 1956 owner manual and service- and Blaupunkt books are
enclosed. The correct 1956 1600 engine is in the car with original Solex 40 PICB carburetors and Knecht filters.
Chassis:
Chassis number 57 205. There is no rust apparent anywhere on the chassis or
body of this car. The engine was rebuilt to a high standard about 3500 miles ago and there
is a lengthy receipt documenting the work. Many original parts were used and the engine
got a new crankshaft, pistons and cylinders. The engine runs very strong , because there
are many high performance 356SC internal engine parts were used. The original muffler
was replaced. The Solex carburetors were carefully restored and new jetted. The car starts exceptionally well ( first turn of the starter ), runs well, with no smoke and no funny noises
( no brakes after 3500 miles). The brakes and the steering box are in in excellent condition. The doors, hood and engine cover gaps are in a very ,very good
condition (more than good). The interior was completely restored with new carpet and leather seats and is also in a very, very good
shape. The rubber vinyl floor mats, front and rear , are new. The headliner is new . The original sun-visors ( green
plastic) are in an excellent good condition. The GOLDE sun-roof works very well and the original rain-tubes bring all the water out.

Summary:
The car has never seen an Car-Wash is only washed by hand and the nice
rare color looks very nice. This car is not a car for daily use, the car has only one time
seen the rain and is absolutely dry stored. You never find this car again in this "super"
condition and so I´ll sell it, because my new project is ready for race-track.
