1959 Enzmann 506 Spyder Coupe

Joe Ruiz

This car was owned and stored in in garage for 38 years! The total Kilometers on the speedo when I found this vehicle was 5500 total! This IS NOT a typo! Five thousand, five hundred KM's only! By the way, I can verify this!

This car is the brainchild of Swiss gentleman named Emil Enzmann. Emil wanted to compete in racing but did not have the funds to compete with the big displacement engines. He wanted a small, lightweight and rigid car that would be powered by a 1300cc eng. The results! A 1300 lbs. car that would give Porsche a run for their money!

The car has EVERYTHING that came with it when it was brand new! It even came with an original build sheet that explains the details of the car including the "one-off" sliding, retractable hardtop. Only one car was made this way. This car is it. Reason this design was discarded was because the time involved to build the surrounding structure. It was too time consuming and shelved it in favor of a simpler design.

These cars were produced in Switzerland from 1957 - 1962. According to the builders, and records, total production was a mere 193 examples. Out of those, only 18-19 remain! My car having the lowest mileage, is the only car that has NEVER been restored and is the nice-est of all that remail. There are NO examples here in the United States except for my car. This car runs and drives excellent, weather permitting, I drive this car everyday!!!!!

Thanks,

Joe
