1961 S/R Coupe

Michael Rivkin/Jeffri Coleman

We first saw this car in Taos at the WCH in 2003. We were quite taken by the car... with it's one-of-a-kind (documented special order) Olive Green paint. In fact, we took numerous photos of it and kept them in our archives.  We then vowed that a Sunroof Coupe would be the next car in out little collection!

Well, just playing on the internet in August 2006 revealed this car again for sale. We did not know it was the actual car we had lusted after earlier, for a few days yet... only finding the pictures in our files while researching the car. Jeffri's e-mail to me read: "I love the color... please buy this for me!". Ok... you don't have to ask me twice! After an inspection, then verifying through the COA that it was indeed built as a sunroof, super, and with chrome wheels and a high line Becker from the factory... we just had to do the paperwork.

"Olive" was then transported to Seattle, and just joined our garage in September, 2006...and she drives totally different than our 61 Cabriolet "Winston"; much more sporting and certainly quicker.

Ahh...but you always love your first!
