Attached are photos of my in-progress 1956 356A cabriolet restoration. I
have owned the car since 1968 and started a major restoration almost 2 years ago
that, thus far, includes replacement of the front axle beam, floor pans,
tunnel, longitudinals and door sills, battery box and a lot of "swiss cheese"
elsewhere. These photographs show only a small amount of the metal replacement
already completed and there is quite a bit remaining. The tunnel was fabricated
from scratch, the axle beam was supplied by Jim at EASY and the pans, etc.
were purchased from a supplier. The work is going much slower than
anticipated......but it also spreads the cash flow over a longer period of time and softens
the blow a little.
