57795 had a rough life, having been smacked hard in the nose at
one point. Ten years, many pieces of sheet metal and a mile or
two of welding wire later, it's an outlaw of sorts. 912 engine,
741 transmission, disc brakes and 12 volts. Not much is original
but it's
a real conversation piece. The paint is Auratium green, a
Sonderwunsch color from 1956-59. Several other cars around the
USA have been painted from the original panel sample I used to
formulate the paint. This is a stop-em-in-their tracks color
that is so "fifties". |
