| This car has been in the family longer than I have. My parents consider it their first child. My mom made my dad buy it before they got married, back in 66, the previous owner sold it due to "high maintenance costs". My earliest memories are of sitting in the jump seats driving on the freeway.
Of course, as my brothers and I approached driving age, we were not allowed
to even dream of getting behind the wheel. But, this year I was finally able to con my father into handing it over.
We had no idea this car would outlast every other car we owned. Although
it's been in a few minor scrapes and dings through the year, it's been one of the most faithful and reliable cars we have ever had.
She's always been a daily driver, and after her odometer was repaired 3
times, my parents gave up and just estimated her mileage. It regularly poops out after about 90K. I think the original engine has been rebuilt 3 times, and it just keeps on going. It must have in excess of 350K miles.
