| My blue baby came to me in June of 2001.
#117014 61 Normal Coupe Aetna Blue.
This car has been converted to 12 volts and disc brakes. It sports its
original floors (still rust free) as well as the majority of its other
panels. The paint on the interior is original and quite nice. It also has a
new tan leather interior (not the correct color (gray) but I like the
combination anyway). Last Father's day came the new Nardi and a made a wood
knob to match.
The original engine sits in a box for the next owner and a very well prepped
SC resides in its place with 912 heads, NPRs and 34mm Webers. I just completed a cosmetic overhaul of the engine and compartment while
having the transmission professionally rebuilt.
The exterior, while not the original paint, is the original color.
My wife and I have decided that our official anniversary tradition is to take
this car from the SF Bay Area to Mendocino each year and we now have 2 (in
this car 5 total) under our belts. We look forward to many more.
My oldest daughter of 3 years calls it "daddy's blue car" and cannot wait for
Saturdays to come, when we can take a short ride on one of the many local
country roads and neither can I.....
I am happy and privileged to be a part of the family of enthusiasts on this
list.
Regards,
Eric Jacobson
