1965 Coupe

It was a
Sunday afternoon, early spring 2001, my wife and I were standing in
the driveway of an "open house" that we had just toured. The 356, and it's
previous owner, a wonderful man that I am still friends with to this day,
pulled up and stopped on the street out front. I want to preface all of this
by saying that when I first stepped onto the driveway, "I found a penny,
picked it up, the rest of the day I shall have good luck", and I am not a
superstitious person, I said it all tongue in cheek. Within a minute of
putting it in my pocket the 356 drives up. Anyway I introduced myself, he
was not selling, and I was not buying. The rest is history. This is the
same 356 that for the previous 2 years, about once a month, I would grab
something quick for lunch, park next to it, a few stalls away so that I could
get a really good look, and dream. I have been a huge fan of Porsche
since I
was about 12 years old, and my dream has come true.
