I have had the car since 1999 and done err.. very little. I have
just completed my 912 so now it's time for the 54. I bought the
car very silly via photo's and on a bank loan and shipped it to
the UK. As I had just split from wife. THE BEST thing I did was
getting this car. Ok the car turned out to be very solid and I
was lucky. I really am enjoying the whole 356 experience and I
hope to have the car up and running soon. Full resto later. I
have all the books Bret and I have exchanged a few emails and
it's people like that, that make me want to get back in the
garage and do some more to it.
Engine is out at the mo being overhauled by John Lucas a Ex
racing driver from the 60's and 70's here in the UK where he
raced his 54 bent screen until a big smash ( not his fault )
wrote the car off. He now has a RHD 356 Carrera ( minus the
engine ) but what a car what a guy..
Best book at the mo for motivating me... Jim Kellogg's book on
356 Resto...
Car is a Jade Green 1954 Pre-A sat in Fresno for 28 years before
I bought it.
