Originally Aetna Blue with Gray Leatherette, now Signal Red (soon to change...) with black leather, tan top. Originally super engine, came with a normal with elongated crankshaft pins, now 912 block with Webers Original tranny recently rebuilt (first rebuilt).

Bought it from a dealer Sept. 2002. Since I have been sorting the mechanicals with great help from the Talk Group and former 356 mechanic and good friend Juan Luna, the Registry's Restoration Guides and the affiliated vendors.

Next would be complete disassembly, body work and repaint. Not sure if to go back to Aetna Blue (not too popular in my household) or Ruby Red or else... I don't know when I'll do that since the car looks pretty good and is so much fun to drive. I use it daily to drive 6 miles a day to work and back. On rainy days (not too many around) it stays in the carport and I walk (or use the Volvo spare).
